Guesses, anyone?
I grew up on a farm, and everything related to farming attracts me so much. Not long ago my sisters and I decided to hit the dirt roads and take pictures. I found this widely known fruit that makes a very popular beverage world-wide... Any guesses?
Cranberries grow on a bush right? They look too small for mangos but I've always wanted to see a mango on a tree. How about some kind of crabapple? or pomegrates?
I'm puzzled by what Cris says about this being a "widely known fruit that makes a very popular beverage world-wide"... It can't be just some strange-growing grapes, can it?
Ok, no one got even closer... maybe the description of the widely known fruit was tricky and I am sorry. Hum, just a hint... you do not eat this fruit as it is, you drink the product of it... does it help? And the color of the beverage has nothing to do with the beautiful red of the fruit! :-)
cocoa?? wow!! and i drink coffee every morning .......and Brazil!!! it had to do sth with coffee!!! :) stupid moi!!!! and it cant be pomegranate for sure ...i have seen what pomegranates look like back in India......it's cocoa...positively....my prize, plz!!! :DDD
All right... thank you all for trying sooo hard... I heard coffee or coffee beans??? And the winners are... Anna, Moi (not cocoa though, hehe) and Mike!
Congratulations, Anna, for guessing it right! Shame on me and the other Brazilians for missing it... I know what coffee looks like, but the picture seemed to be of a much larger fruit. Good job of misleading us, Cris!
Hi Cris, as an European I´ve never seen coffee fruits although I have to admit that I don´t drink coffee at all. Instead of it I love to drink hot chocolate :-)! Nice greetings, Verena
Cris, What a fun post! My hubby and I were trying to guess, but we didn't get it. How interesting to know what the coffee looks like when it's still on the plant. Thank you! Great idea :)

It loks like a cranberry, but I thought they mostly grew underwater.
coffee?
That may sound stupid but I am not a coffee drinker so I dont even know what that plant looks like...

I have no clue, except I know they aren't pomegranates. I grow those myself.
:)
My guess would be coffee beans. But I really have no idea. Neat game though. Anxious to see the final answer!
Nice picture.

Coffee beans, you say??? Wow!!! Please take more pictures as they ripen ... I was trying to guess grapes but know they don't grow that way.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog - I'm nearly "home" in the blogging.
