Cars and trucks of yesteryear

These cars certainly wouldn't make it to a car show. They are all in such bad shape and they have been there on the same spot for years! My guess is that these cars are considered Classic, and were built long before pollution control, fuel economy and safety regulations became issues. I am sure they were very popular and expensive at the time and were once considered the best car of the year...

Olá Cris! Esses carros abandonados devem fazer a alegria de muito colecionador. Mas acontece que para restaurar esssa preciosidades, a pessoa precisa ter dinheiro. É um hobby bem caro. Beijos!

Hey Cris, the friend who went cycling from Calif. to DC do not have a blog...in fact they did it without much fan fare that is generally associated with such activities...they decided to do it on whim and managed to live it out :)

I think the old trucks make for great pictures...I don't know why. I guess they have a story to tell. Like maybe once little kids rode on the back to town to sell their produce..I just like them!

There was an old rusty truck parked on an abandoned homestead behind our house when I was a kid and we took great pleasure in sitting in it for hours on summer afternoons "driving" to all kinds of wonderful places. What fun that was!
