While the northern hemisphere is getting ready for Fall and saying goodbye to Summer, at the same time the southern hemisphere is heading into Spring and different colors of "Tabepuia" tree show their glory everywhere in our city. First the pink and white trees, and then the yellow trees make their appearance. I did not have a chance to photograph any white ones.
On a sad note, just as the seasons that come and go, my husband just forwarded me an e-mail from a dear friend in Boulder who has been sick for the past six years and his condition is worsening. I cried as I read the e-mail for two reasons. First, because he is losing his battle and second, because his beautiful words touched me in such a way. He talks about the gift of eternal life, how he places his hope in God, in the person of Jesus who heals our brokenness and brings us back into relationship with God and ends his e-mail with this question: Where is your hope? And I pass it on to you.

Cris, i wish i had right words to say for your friend...these are the only times when the words fail me ...wish him and you enough strength in these times.
I'm going to enjoy seeing all the beautiful trees and plants blooming in your corner of the world...especially when we're looking at snow :) Those trees are spectacular!
So sad about your friend. Knowing God gives him the hope of Heaven and eases the passage for him and his family. My prayers will be with him, and you.
Thank you for passing that question on. xoxo

Ohh...Sorry to hear about your friend...I pray for him that get all strength and win the battle at any case...!
Cris, our city is really beautiful with all kinds of flowery trees. From white to pink, yellow, purple, and orange flowers. These wonderful things comes from the Lord, as well as the strengh that will be with your friend. In Joshua 3:5 -"Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you." In a eternal perspective we must wait for the best. That's our hope!
LOve the photos of the trees an ocean.
Beautiful pictures of your area. Love that ocean scene. My heartfelt thoughts are sent to you and your friend. A tough time for all concerned. What a thought provoking question he left you (and us) with...
Thanks Cris for visiting blog, and many thanks for the wishes...!!!
I'm so sorry about your friend, Chris. And although during these times, our sadness is still there, having that hope in Christ for ourselves and for someone we care about sure does help us in these times of grief or anxiety. Because He has indeed conquered death!
Hard to remember those opposite seasons going on in different hemispheres! Gorgeous blossoms!
Hi, I like the combination of the flowers and the sea-waves.
I feel sorry for your friends 'loosing the battle', a prayer and some sweet words of understanding will help them and you, tell them you cried.
Hold on and have a good weekend:) JoAnn
