Accent Lamps - Bamboo, Hats, and Shells

There was this subtle feeling of an island in all rooms of the hotel. Natural elements like bamboo, hats, and shells mixed with hardwood became very fashionable lamps, crafted by local artists.

"A poet once described friends as the 'sunshine of life'. I myself have found that the day is much brighter when I'm sharing it with my friends."
From the book "Laughter and Latté"

WOW! This blog is a marvellous surprise box! The problem is that with my current time restrictions to travelling, I don’t know when to find a moment to visit all these spectacular spots. Looking at your pictures, I become even more convinced that the motto of my blog – «It is not such a small world!» – is becoming increasingly more accurate…
Look forward for that recipe of moqueca de camarão! Paul Bocuse, Alain-Ducasse, Marc Meneau & Co…Beware!

What a great idea you had, Cris, capturing the different lamps at the hotel! You are developing a great knack for finding interesting themes... Way to go! ;o)

Cinara, thanks, you know how much I love crafts and I couldn't help it... but take pictures!

Susie, actually I think I saw them this big for the first time too and I was impressed...

Britt, I found them quite different from what we are used to see.
