Colonial Blue
More farm pictures, the white and blue were popular in Colonial Brazil during the 17th and 18th centuries. This is a coffee farm, the owner was a kid when my dad was growing up and it was so nice to see them talking about old times. The farm is well-taken care of. Their oldest employee, who is over 80 years old, moved there as a kid, raised his family there and still likes to help out around the farm, taking care of flowers.

They really keep it up nice. I like the white and blue. I can see why it is popular.
I love that house! Looks like a cozy place to live.

Here in the US, we have "colonial blue" too. But usually the colors are reversed so the house is blue, the trim is white.
Beautiful house!!
Cris, I've loved the place, where is it? The white walls are so beautiful, so refreshing. I'd like to make a proposal for you...next time invite me, please to go with you to visit these wonderful places some weekend! We could do a pic-nic there! How about???
The color combination is beautiful, but I'm really fascinated by the 80 yr old employee who has spent most of his life there..
xo

Beautiful!
Beautiful white and blue.It looks so pretty and clean there!
I love these colours. (unfortunately that seems to be unfashionable here)
In Northgermany at the Northsea many houses have these colours, we call it "Friesisch"
What a beautiful home! I love blue and white together!
Hope you are doing well!
Hugs,
Kelli
So beautiful...it matches the sky in the first picture. The blue and white is wonderfully crisp and clean. And what a great angle you got!
There's still a lot of life in some 80 yr olds :)
As suas fotos são sempre muito bonitas.Esta casa faz lembrar muito as casa de cá,na região do Alentejo.
I SO love the first image...
Wonderful shots, keep 'em coming!
I love blue and white houses...it was my first choice when we painted this weekend, but hubby overruled because of similar colors on the street.
This one is so pretty...love how you got to talk to an old family friend along with the oldest employee who was there as a child!
What a lovely little place! I love how the blue frames and sets off everything, and the flowers add so much life and warmth. It looks like a home where one could be very happy growing up. :)
Oi Cris, tudo bem?
Beijos!
