My grandparents got married in 1928, and they would be celebrating their 80th anniversary this year... I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with them and live close to them for so many years. When I left for the US to be an exchange student my grandpa said he would probably not see me again... so when I came back a year later, there he was, and he lived to the age of 86! Life is so short... and we live a hurried life...
My thought for the day is: take a deep breath and un-hurry, take a break to enjoy things that are important, make a pause to pray and thank God for the gift of life!

What a wonderful treasure you have there! And wonderful memories, too!
That's a wonderful picture for you to have. I love those old black and white's and I really enjoyed your thought of the day. Yes, un-hurry! I agree...
I so agree. We should stop and thank God for our loved ones. Make each moment a good memory.
Hope you are doing well my friend.
Hugs,
An amazing wedding photo of your grandparents and a wonderful reminder for all of us!

(P.S...I changed my blog name, just to let you know- Lattes and Lollipops)
What a great old photo! I have posted a few like that recently and I have some more coming up soon.
Dearest Cris, please forgive my manners. You visited my blog in May and I did not even get to return your visit. You came to see me when i was in need of girlfriends. Thank you so much for your kind words.
I love the photograph of your grandparents. I love my grandparents too. I have both grandmothers living still and it is a blessing. One's 90 and the other's 89. I don't see them as often as I want to, because they are thousands of miles away.
I love your photographs. The bench, the blue barn doors, and everything. Keep on blogging, I hope all is okay.

What a wonderful old photograph! I'm so glad your grandpa got to see you again after your sojourn in the US :)
My gardens have been keeping me much too busy, but this rainy day is forcing me to slow down, and giving me time to catch up with a few dear blog friends...for which I'm grateful.
I love all your 'color theme' photos. The blue wind chime and the barn doors are especially eye-catching.
I hope all is well with you and your family dear Cris.
xoxo
