One of my chores as a child was to grind coffee, not an easy task, so my siblings and I took turns, and we did not always did it for fun because we did not drink coffee at the time... It was a rough chore and I'm glad it did not affect our love for coffee today as we are all heavy coffee drinkers at home!
This old coffee mill was at display during the International Day held at my youngest son's preschool. I have a grinder that my dad gave me a long time ago, but it is black. Today I use an electric one...

Oh Cris, a blue grinder - how unusual! Happy Peace Day!
Oh glorious coffee! I'm reading your post as a pot is brewing not five feet away from me. I'm glad your early grinding days did not keep you away from it today. I've even been roasting my own beans within the past few years. Anyhow, I love the picture of this grinder from the past. Thanks for sharing it.

I love and collect these old things from the past - mine just wasn't blue!

That old grinder looks so charming!
I grind my own beans the electric way every morning...hubby got me addicted to the good beans, but then he went and quit drinking it altogether!

Hello Cris,
very nice a blue grinder..
I have an old coffee grinder as well. Now it is used to grind poppy seeds for my cakes and pastries.
Have a nice weekend.
