A good reason to have chickens is to be able to collect fresh eggs and have a regular supply of delicious eggs to try new recipes. We visit this farm once a month but I would love to live closer to enjoy all the good things there.
And speaking of eggs... We still haven't gotten over Christmas and it won't be too long before we start dyeing Easter eggs! Mardi Gras is just around the corner, I just realized my blog turned one this month and I did not even notice, time flies...

Beijos!
I love those nest boxes!! So original!! Much neater than the ones that I have (ugly metal ones). Some day I'm going to have new ones - maybe I could make some like them!
I like that cute little hen house! Your photos of it are really lovely Cris. The baskets make such quaint nesting boxes :)
We sometimes are given fresh eggs by friends at church. The shells are so much firmer and the yolks so yellow. Lovely!
Hi Cris,
fresh eggs from the farm for breakfast ..what a treat. I love the chicken barn with the small "condo nests".
Enjoy Mardi Gras..
Gisela
Your photos are always beautiful. You sure have a gift.
Congratulations on your one year!!!!
Hugs,
You have an artist's eye, Cris. These are wonderful!
There's nothing like fresh eggs. I miss living close to my sister and her chickens for many reasons, but fresh eggs are right up there on the list.
Happy Bloggity Birthday!

We have a chicken but I can never find her eggs! I can't believe how quickly time is going either.
Congratulation to your blog birthday!
Wonderful pictures again. I think I had chicken, when I have more place but our garden is too small.
hugs
Stefanie
I have always wanted to have a little chicken coop...maybe one day!
